Both boxes have the same 14ft x 8ft footprint. The 21 yard is one foot taller and carries twice the included weight. A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet, so the 5-foot box holds about 17 cubic yards and the 6-foot box about 21. As a rule of thumb, a full-size pickup bed holds roughly 2 cubic yards, which puts the 17 yard at about 8 pickup loads and the 21 yard at about 10.
- 17 yard: a kitchen or bath remodel, a garage or storage clean-out, roofing tear-off on a smaller house, yard and fence debris.
